With our new disabled bay management scheme, we at GPS will regularly monitor disabled parking bays on your behalf. Any vehicle found to be misusing or unofficially taking up a disabled parking bay, will be issued with a Parking Charge Notice and 10% of the parking charge will immediately go to charity. Issuing PCNs to unauthorised vehicles has proven to be the only way around the disabled bay parking problem. Baywatch, a campaign dedicated to improving supermarket parking for disabled blue badge holders, has data to show that around 1-in-5 spaces are being used by people with no disability. At Baywatch we have collated data from sites over the past year and have found that people who attain a fine are 85% less likely to re-offend. |
